Rev. Dr. Paul O. Bischoff
Interim Pastor

Pastor Paul, 63, is joyfully married to Jayne since 1968.  They have four children: Paul Jr., 40; Melissa Jayne, 38; Megan Joy, 37 and Melanie Jill, 32.  Jayne and Paul have eight grandchildren and have lived in Wheaton since 1979.  They have been members of the Glen Ellyn Covenant Church since 1980.  They have served as Covenant Short-Term Missionaries for two years at Black Forest Academy, an international high school in Germany for children of diplomats and missionaries.  Jayne is a retired nurse and currently is involved with a holistic prayer ministry in the Glen Ellyn church when not spending quality time with her grandchildren, all of whom live in Wheaton -- a blessing!.

Paul holds a Bi-Vocational ministry license with the Covenant and does Transitional Interim Pastoral ministry within the Central Conference.  Paul holds a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago.  His Doctorate was focused on the life and theology of Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Paul often is called upon by the Covenant Department of World Missions to assist in the orientation and training of Covenant missionaries.  Paul is also listed as Adjunct Faculty at North Park Theological Seminary.

Pastor Paul began his interim work at Country Covenant May 31, 2009.  He currently is a teacher for the Chicago Public Schools, and commutes to Chicago each weekday.  He will primarily serve Country Covenant on Sundays.
